Forklift Safety Guideline

1) Isolated forklift operating area from pedestrians
2) Barriers prevent pedestrian access to forklift work areas.
3) Clearly marked and provided pedestrian walkways
4) Signals that a forklift is in use
5) All blind spots have mirrors for drivers and pedestrians.
6) Changes to the workplace daily schedule for forklift use were communicated to ALL affected employees.

22) Forklift operators undergo proper training and guidance on all forklift models currently in use, as well as occupational hazards and safe work procedures.
23) Forklift operators are aware that any equipment damage or forklift injuries must be recorded.
24) At the start of each move, use a pre-test checklist.
